The  Shooters Hill Woodlands Working Party

The  Working Party was been working with Greenwich Council since 1994.  It consists of local volunteers and meets at 10am on the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Oxleas Cafe.

The party undertakes light conservation work, where people can learn about practical conservation and gain voluntary work experience.  All ages and abilities are welcome.

Work may involve removal of rhododendrons and sycamore, reduction of holly, coppicing, dead-hedging, pond renovation, ditch clearance,  path maintenance etc.

New volunteers are always welcome - though you should expect to get dirty! Strong shoes or boots, and suitable clothing are adviseable.  Tools and gloves are provided.
