Jackwood House Garden

The sun shone for our 9 volunteers working at Jackwood Terrace today.

Our main task was cutting back more of the wisteria before the nesting starts. In addition we coppiced a sycamore growing where it shouldn't, and cleared more brambles from the beds.

Next month we will be pruning and the weeding will begin again for another season. Why not join us. Email Christine for more details oxleas.volunteers@gmail.com

As well as suffering from a lack of regular maintenance, the wisteria in this corner had also become overrun with brambles.

Now you can see right back to the wall. Air around the main branches is good for encouraging new growth.
