Litter Picking

25th January 2025

A hoola-hoop, a chair base, 2 used cans of paint, gas canisters and the usual couple of roadwork signs were just some of the items collected at today’s session.

A wonderful 17 volunteers clocked up 34 hours and collected over 50 sacks of litter! This included at least 8 heavy bags of building waste, tossed into the brambles at intervals along the edges of Eltham Common Wood where it adjoins the common!!!

No photo of the final huge pile as, again, RBG were very efficient in removing bags. We need your help to protect the ecology of the woodlands from litter: email Oxleas.volunteers@gmail.com
